The equipment used in this article is the NewView9000 3D surface optical profilometer produced by ZYGO Company with a magnification of 10x. The surface topography of the waste motor shaft made of 45 steel is measured. The measuring part is the mating surface edge of the bearing position of the motor shaft. The results show that the plastic deformation of the contact edge is an important damage form.
