The epoxidation reaction was carried out under the same experimental conditions as 1004A, 1203A, 602A and surfactants, and after the reaction mixture was purified, epoxy was titrated as two. The principle is the quantitative reaction of hydrogen bromide and 1,2-epoxy group by reacting perchloric acid (HCIO4) with tetraethylammonium bromide (NEt4Br). The procedure consists of titrating a dichloromethane solution dissolved in an epoxy resin containing tetraethylammonium bromide with a perchloric acid-glacial acetic acid standard solution, with crystal violet as an indicator, when the epoxy group is consumed, excess hydrogen bromide will cause excessive crystal violet indicator discoloration.
